Our world has changed! Nothing will ever be “normal” again from the perspective of what we have been used to. Along with financial collapse and the takeover (nationalization) of commerce by the private banking Marxist/Communist cartel, we are facing a real threat to our lives and the loss of our natural rights and liberty. The powers-that-be have stepped up their game dramatically in order to create us in their own image and firmly plant us in their own kingdom. What has been planned many decades ago, is now coming to be realized. In Part 1, I outlined briefly what we will be facing in the near future. It’s coming. It’s dark and foreboding.
Has the God of our fathers, in His written Word, given us any instruction about how to handle this oncoming spiritual darkness being billed as the “new normal”? Yes.
A Lesson from the Past
King Hezekiah and those living in Jerusalem were also being tempted by concessions. I’ll get to that in a moment. First, let’s set the scene.
The King of Assyria had already defeated and deported all of the northern house of Israel and took them captive out of their land. He also invaded all the fortified cities of Judah in the south and took them captive as well (2 Kings 18:13). All that was left was Jerusalem and the King of Assyria was threatening to sack that city, too – the last stronghold in Israel.
Camped outside the city walls, the King of Assyria sent his top commander to deliver a message to Hezekiah and all the people in Jerusalem mocking their military strength compared to the vast army of Assyria. The intent was to create doubt and despair that the remaining Israelites could ever hope to overcome. And then, he followed with a warning to conquer Jerusalem like he had done to all the other cities and peoples of the land.
Thus says Sennacherib king of Assyria, “On what are you trusting that you are remaining in Jerusalem under siege? Is not Hezekiah misleading you to give yourselves over to die by hunger and by thirst, saying, ‘The LORD our God will deliver us from the hand of the king of Assyria’?
Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands able at all to deliver their land from my hand? Who was there among all the gods of those nations which my fathers utterly destroyed who could deliver his people out of my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you from my hand? Now therefore, do not let Hezekiah deceive you or mislead you like this, and do not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people from my hand or from the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you from my hand?” - 2 Chronicles 32:10-11, 13-15
The God of Israel was purposely insulted and the intent of the message and warning was to put fear into the hearts of the people.
Along with these threats of certain annihilation, the commander offered concessions to the people in Jerusalem:
Do not listen to Hezekiah, for thus says the king of Assyria, “Make your peace with me and come out to me, and eat each of his vine and each of his fig tree and drink each of the waters of his own cistern, until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and honey, that you may live and not die. But do not listen to Hezekiah when he misleads you, saying, ‘The LORD will deliver us.’ ” - 2 Kings 18:31-32
Essentially, he was saying:
Make peace with me (the condition of surrender).
Eat each of his vine and fig tree and drink from your own cistern (the concession – life will be “normal”). Better than the alternative, eh? Think about it. Life will be back to normal again.
But that’s not all.
When you are taken away to another land – no problem. It’s going to be even better. A land like you are used to: abundant grain, wine and bread, vineyards, olive trees and honey – all your heart desires.
All this is yours if you bow down to me. Reminds me of when Jesus was tempted in Matthew 4:8-9.
The tactic and temptation of concessions: life will return to normal if you will just comply with what we tell you to do or not do.
Lots of justification that precedes and submits to compromise and concession. And then, CHECKMATE!
We have a choice. We had better make it now. Either cower in fear of the enemies’ voice (and it’s really fear that controls us, right?) or
- Resist and stand firm, and
- Put on the helmet of salvation (protect your mind and thoughts), and
- Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of Israel.
What did Hezekiah and the people in Jerusalem do? They resisted and stood firm and prayed to their God. After receiving an encouraging word from God through the prophet Isaiah, Hezekiah prayed this before the Lord:
. . . “O LORD, the God of Israel, who are enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. Incline Your ear, O LORD, and hear; open Your eyes, O LORD, and see; and listen to the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God. Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have devastated the nations and their lands and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. So they have destroyed them. Now, O LORD our God, I pray, deliver us from his hand that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, O LORD, are God.” - 2 Kings 19:15-19
What Happened Next?
Then it happened that night that the angel of the LORD went out and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men rose early in the morning, behold, all of them were dead. - 2 Kings 19:35
The God of Israel struck the entire Assyrian army down. Saved! Delivered! Why?
Because Hezekiah and the people did not concede to another god. They did what was right by faith and stood firm. And the God of Israel responded and did the rest.
The Lord God of our fathers is mighty in battle. He is the King! He is Sovereign! Do you believe that?
The Situation Before US
Before us is a test of great consequence. We draw the line in the sand here. We, as a people, have given many concessions throughout the many past decades in order to survive including, but not limited to, using fiat “money” and participating and being forced into “income” taxation. Granted, there are only so many battles we can fight and we have all conceded to some things in part. But these concessions have brought us a national debt without a mathematical solution. We have become slaves to the banking powers and dependent on their credit. And now, this COVID-19 virus “pandemic” has camouflaged another major step in the nationalization of business (from the recent trillions of “dollars” of bailouts and loans from the IMF). The cover story has also masked a major, systemic financial collapse of the American and global economy. They have us right where they want us. They have tightened their grip on the money supply, are using food shortages as a weapon and flexing their police powers to enforce their schemes.
If we don’t stand together now against a life-threatening medical tyranny with future testing and vaccinations, what will happen to future generations? How shall we stand? There is nothing more formidable than local church assemblies united to support and defend one another and stand firm together against this encroaching terrorism.
So, how do we start to take action? Is God calling you to be a catalyst and a voice where you live? You do have the option to share the Bible Mastery Boot Camp with our People. This is a done-for-you, step-by-step comprehensive teaching and training program. Our People need knowledge and understanding of what God has said and what He has prescribed as the remedy to what we are facing now. Unless you have a better plan, here is an opportunity to start taking effective action. We need to lay a new foundation and rebuild.
Things are happening quickly and we don’t have a lot of time to waste. God can use you to help bring the scattered Sheep back to the knowledge of their heritage along with their responsibilities and obligations. Ask Him to take you by the hand and lead you every step of the way. He will because, after all, Jesus Christ stills wants to build His church. And the gates of hell will not prevail against it!
And though this world, with devils filled,
Should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed
His truth to triumph through us.
